You’ve already read about the Fast And Frugal route, tackling 1270 miles of Britain’s road network in under 24 hours.

Now the precise starting point for the drive can be revealed – the Palace of Westminster itself.

The Palace of Westminster – home of British democracy and the starting point of Fast And Frugal

Lincoln Member of Parliament and Fast And Frugal driver, Karl McCartney, has been instrumental in ensuring that the driving team and both the GT86 and Prius Plug-in will be able to begin their drives north from within the Palace grounds, exiting through the famous black gates onto Parliament Square at noon on Wednesday 22 August.

As the route takes us to the three capital buildings in mainland Britain, as well as the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales, starting from the grounds of the Houses of Parliament will be perfectly fitting.
